With ye. utmost fearfulneʃs of being too presumptuous
Mrs. Delany most earnestly wishes to offer this lowly
tribute of her most humble duty & warmest grati-
tude to ye. Queen. the apprehension yt it may be ye. last
effort she shall be able to exert of this work wch. has been
much honor'd by her Majesty's approbation,
urges & emboldens her to lay this at her M's feet,
& if in ye. smallest degree it shoud prove acceptable
& recd. as a testimony of her profound respect, Her
highest ambition will be gratified.
